Cartesian Film Festival returns for its 3rd edition at DePaul’s 14 E Jackson LL104 theater, Chicago Illinois 60604 on March 15th 2025.

We are currently planning on a single short block to be programmed but will consider based on submissions how best to proceed in the coming months.

There is only one rule TO SCREEN A FILMMAKER MUST BE IN ATTENDANCE.

Just like Cartesian’s online distribution efforts, this festival was started so filmmakers could benefit from our mutually built audience.  

This allows for the festival to be a great networking tool for everyone involved. We rely on fellow filmmakers to pack the house, so a special emphasis is placed on screening local Chicago talent. 

The last iteration was a smash success, a sold out show with standing room only, we hope to pick up right where we left off this coming year! 

All submissions are free of charge. All submissions to Cartesian TV will be considered to the festival unless otherwise specified. Filmmakers are also welcome to submit to just the festival.
